Saturday marks a truly special day in the Leeds Road Festival calendar, with a vibrant programme of events taking place throughout the day and across Leeds Road. From morning to evening, the road will come alive with activity, energy, and celebration – offering something for everyone.

The theme for the day is “Seeing, Hearing & Tasting the Legends of Leeds Road” – a heartfelt tribute to the individuals, families, and businesses that helped transform this iconic street into a cultural landmark recognised far beyond Bradford.

This day-long celebration will highlight the rich history and evolving identity of Leeds Road through a series of immersive experiences. From captivating art installations and photography exhibitions, to moving spoken word, poetry, and live Qawwali performances – every element will honour the voices and stories that have shaped the community. The celebration will also tempt your senses with live cooking demonstrations, street food, and flavours that reflect the culinary soul of the area.

At its heart, this day is about remembrance and recognition spotlighting the pioneers and community figures who laid the foundations for success, inspired future generations, and helped Leeds Road gain international acclaim. Whether you’re a local resident, a visitor, or someone who has long admired the area’s entrepreneurial and cultural spirit, Saturday promises an unforgettable experience.

Remembering Shabir Hussain with heartfelt speeches,
spoken word poetry, live Qawwali performances, and street circus entertainment.

Community Activities

Activities at Attock Park including face painting, wood
carving, henna art, circus shows, bouncy castle, and live artist workshops.

Evening Celebration & Fireworks

Outdoor celebration at Bradford Moor Park with live Qawli performances by Nooran Lal, Asif K, and Hussain Haider, street theatre, funfair, international bazaar, and a spectacular fireworks finale.

Sunday will consist of a continuation of Saturday evenings event at Bradford Moor Park with the main focus turning to music and food. Bradford Moor Park site has a live concert throughout the day featuring local, national & international artists from a variety of genres.
